I bought these Halloween throw pillow covers on Amazon for all the throw pillows in our two living rooms, and I love how much Halloween spirit they’ve brought. Adding a few Halloween pillows to your sofa or accent chairs is a quick way to bring in seasonal decor and make your home feel ready for the holiday.

I also love that this is an easy change to make each season. When Halloween is over, simply remove the covers to switch back to your everyday pillows, and you’re done!

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR YOUR HALLOWEEN THROW PILLOW COVERS

One reason I like seasonal pillow covers is that I can use the pillows I already own instead of buying all new pillows every time I want to change my decor.

Before ordering pillow covers, measure your existing pillows so you know what sizes to buy. Then buy pillow covers that are either the size of your pillow or one size smaller. When choosing which size to buy, keep the following in mind:

SAME SIZE AS YOUR PILLOW: This will make the cover easier to put on, but the pillow cover may look a little looser or baggier once on the pillow.
ONE SIZE SMALLER THAN YOUR PILLOW: This can give you a fuller, plumper-looking pillow, but it will be harder to get the pillow inside the cover.

Since these Halloween pillow covers are on the less expensive side, I would be careful about sizing down too much. The zippers may not be as sturdy as those on more expensive covers, and forcing a pillow into a cover that’s too small could break the zipper.
